H.E. Ambassador Dina El Sehy, Executive Director of the Fund for Assisting Victims of Trafficking in Persons, met on Monday, 7 September 2026, with Dr. Ali El Hashemy, Director of the Damietta Endowments-Awqaf Directorate, along with several Directorate leaders, within the framework of the Fund’s efforts to strengthen cooperation with various entities and institutions in combating human trafficking crimes and supporting victims.
The meeting addressed ways to strengthen cooperation in disseminating awareness messages and raising awareness of the risks of human trafficking crimes, as well as enhancing community awareness of their forms and manifestations and ways to prevent them, thereby contributing to strengthening the protection of groups most vulnerable to exploitation.
The meeting also discussed the importance of raising awareness of the role of the Fund for Assisting Victims of Trafficking in Persons and the services it provides to victims, including providing them with the necessary support and assistance, working to ensure a safe and dignified life for them, and supporting efforts to reintegrate them into society.
Both sides emphasized the importance of integrating efforts and expanding cooperation on awareness-raising and leveraging the community and awareness-raising role of religious institutions in conveying educational messages to various segments of society, thereby supporting national efforts aimed at combating human trafficking crimes and protecting victims.
