As part of efforts aimed at strengthening protection and prevention mechanisms against human trafficking crimes, H.E. Ambassador Dina El Sehy, Executive Director of the Fund for Assisting Victims of Trafficking in Persons, held a meeting with Dr. Marwa Nabil, Head of the Protection Committees at the General Secretariat of Damietta Governorate, to discuss ways to support cooperation in this regard.
The meeting addressed several issues related to combating human trafficking crimes, most notably raising community awareness of the risks of these crimes, raising awareness of ways to prevent these crimes, as well as supporting efforts aimed at combating these crimes and mitigating the impact on those most vulnerable to exploitation.
The meeting emphasized the importance of integrating the roles of entities concerned with protection and awareness-raising, contributing to strengthening the prevention and response system for human trafficking crimes and supporting more effective responses to protect victims and target groups.
