The Fund for Assisting Victims of Trafficking in Persons Organizes a Training Programme in Alexandria

As part of its efforts to raise awareness of human trafficking crimes and ways to combat such crimes, the Fund for Assisting Victims of Trafficking in Persons is organizing a four-day training programme in Alexandria Governorate, targeting social monitors and personnel working in Observation centers in Beheira and Alexandria Governorates, Muslim and Christian religious leaders in Alexandria, as well as representatives of the branches of the three national councils, personnel working in protection committees and human rights units, and labour inspectors at the Directorate of Labour in Alexandria Governorate.

The programme aims to raise participants’ awareness of the various forms of human trafficking crimes, explain the role of the National Coordinating Committee for Combating and Preventing Illegal Migration and Trafficking in Persons (NCCPIM&TIP), and provide information about the Fund, its mandate, and the services and assistance it provides to victims.

The programme also includes enhancing participants’ skills in identifying potential cases of human trafficking, recognizing indicators of such cases, and responding appropriately, as well as raising awareness of the mechanisms for reporting these crimes through the Fund’s hotline, 17616.
