As part of its awareness-raising efforts among diverse groups and relevant stakeholders, the Fund for Assisting Victims of Trafficking in Persons is implementing a four-day training programme in Dakahlia Governorate, starting today, Monday, 28 September, in cooperation with the relevant ministries and entities. The programme is attended by community workers, religious personnel, and executive personnel, including Social Women Leaders, social monitors, staff working in Observation Centres, Imams, female religious preachers, and Reverends. It also involves representatives of protection committees, national councils, human rights units, and labour inspectors from the Directorate of Labour.
The programme addresses key indicators of trafficking in persons, early identification of cases of exploitation and groups most at risk, as well as approaches to handling such cases, reporting mechanisms, and safe referral pathways to the competent authorities.
Preventing trafficking in persons requires raising awareness, identifying signs of exploitation early, and intervening in a timely manner.
Through these programmes, the Fund continues to build personnel capacity to carry out their roles with awareness and responsibility, while enhancing coordination among various entities, thereby strengthening victim protection mechanisms and preserving human dignity.
